National Rejoin March sees Reunion Chorus back on tour

Supporters of York for Europe and North Yorkshire for Europe are travelling by coach and train to London on 23rd September to join people from all over the country on the National Rejoin March.

One important aspect of the march from a local perspective is that it’s the first time since covid that Reunion Chorus will be campaigning in public with its distinct style of wind, percussion and string instruments to accompany our singers who sing lyrics devised for well known tunes that draw attention to the folly of Brexit and the part our politicians played in that. Before the 2019 General Election, as the Remain Voice Choir, participants from across the Yorkshire for Europe groups campaigned at many places in Yorkshire, travelled to parliament on eight occasions and once took our message of support for the EU to Brussels.

If you would like to join the choir for the march please see the link on this page for the songbook that we’ve put together for the march. If you’d like to join us let us know and we’ll give you the details. Contact us on york.europe@yahoo.com ).

It’s more than likely we’ll sing a few of the songs on the coach on the way to London as part of our final rehearsal. If you want to join in singing with the choir the easiest way is to download the songbook to your phone so you have the lyrics with you for the rehearsal, the coach or the march depending on which stages you can join us.
