Again it was a joy to meet up with so many like minded individuals. Not only did we meet a good number of friends from neighbouring cities in Yorkshire, we were able to meet Rejoin supporters from groups all over, as far as Spain.
Police estimate: "15,000 demonstrators present". BBC estimate: "March? What march?"
The speeches were powerful and unforgiving. Perhaps more politically explicit than on previous marches. While Conservative prime ministers were execrated, much criticism and disappointment was directed at the Labour Party, who effectively now remain our main target.
It was nice being able to stroll about and chat with the various groups from all over. It was particularly sad talking to our Swindon friends, a community I know well. Thanks to Brexit they have lost a backbone of local employment - the car manufacturer, Honda, has now left.
It seemed to me that those on the march were on the whole younger than in previous years. There was a lot of anger about the Erasmus fiasco.
There were also some warm words of affection from the lovely German politician, Terry Reintke.
We thank our friends in Leeds for Europe for this video showing just how large the demonstration was....
