Saturday 7th March Street Stall, St Helen's Square York

The weather was chilly but tolerable, but the welcome was surprisingly warm. There was no abuse, no hostility. A few awkward looking folk stared expressionlessly ahead as they shuffled past. But on the whole the response was encouragingly warm. York for Europe members chatted with visitors from all over. We had representations of active groups in Liverpool, Lincolnshire and Scotland. People shared their political views and concerns as if needing someone to talk to.

Certainly York for Europe deemed it a success and something that must be repeated. Do join us next time. We hope the weather warms up a bit too...
